A day in my life.

Tuesday, Oct 2.

You know there are some days when you just wake up and feel like it’s going to a good day, yeah, I got that feeling today. Even though my university starts at 10, I still have to wake up at 7:45 to get ready and leave. My dad takes me with him, and after university, I just sit around in his office.

Tuesdays in particular is an extremely hectic day. I’ve got three classes and I get off at 4. But, thank God— because of good friends and a light environment time ticks away fast. We joke around sitting in the cafeteria about every little thing.

However, I literally fell asleep in my Criminal class. So, before the teacher saw me, I sneakily took out my coffee tin from my bag and chugged it in two seconds flat. I had the “Nescafe Chocolate Mocha” and for someone who does not like sweet coffee— safe to say, I hated it. I prefer a sting in my coffee which immediately wakes me up. While that did a great job at that, I was not a fan of the coffee in the slightest.

Then after hours of laughing and been extremely lazy in class, it was time to go to my dad’s office. I knoooow, it sounds boring and ‘what do you even do there?’ But honestly, it’s fun and time passes quickly. I thankfully handed my six page assignment yesterday so I didn’t need to do that. It was just one of those days where I had Killshot by Eminem on REPEAT. While I listened to my favourite artist ever, I scrolled through Instagram and took in the view from my dad’s office.

The going back home is another hurdle. I feel like i’ll never like going back home. But also, after a long day, all I want is my bed. Like, just jump on it. But, instead of doing that, I called my friend and we talked for an hour, where we mainly caught up in all the drama in our lives. Drama. Then my mom knocked on my door and handed me a parcel, I knew straight away exactly what it was. From the signature liberty packaging, I was like a child on Eid.

I unwrapped the carefully packaged package, and there revealed my two new books. Yesterday I Was The Moon by Noor Unnahar & Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. I immediately skipped through some pages reading some poems from YIWTM, and loving every second. But, what I did not know, was that my book was signed! I was so happy, because I love Noor’s instagram account and also her poetry. So, that was my icing on a cake.

Same old: ate dinner, walked to the park, showered, jammed to some music.

Ended my night by watching the Part 3, “The Family of Jake Paul”, by Shane Dawson. Honestly, a must watch. Shane is arguably the best youtuber, and also i’ve loved him even before he started doing docu-series. If you’re into conspiracy theories, he’s the man.

PS: I know today’s not Tuesday, but it got pretty late and I was too lazy to upload it yesterday.

Thankyou for reading and supporting!!❤️

Making lunch + my reaction to new songs. 🎶🍲

Friday’s for me are the most fun and peaceful day of the week. The number 1 reason being that I get a off from University, which is absolutely stressful. Ugh, thank God. Fun, because I get to be lazy without feeling guilty and just do whatever I want to.

For lunch these days, I have been eating an apple or a sandwich with a coffee. With my university schedule being absolutely crazy I have no time for lunch and hardly have any energy for exercise, but I manage to push through it. Crazy amounts of coffee is an absolute necessity!

However, today I cooked myself a really nice and amazing meal. It was really simple to make. I made the Koka Mushroom noodles and threw in some bologna slices. I took some old chicken from the fridge (it wasn’t that old😂), took some jalapeños and topped it off with some honey bbq and mustard sauce and called it a day. I grilled it to have those really aesthetically pleasing lines because, uh, it’s all for the eyes.

I had a cup of Moroccan Mint green tea, and sat down to listen to some new music. I feel like 2018 is the year where there’s an overwhelming amount of music releasing, new artists emerging and sometimes can be alot of hit or miss. However, moving on. G Eazy released a new track with Anthony Russo, “Rewind.”

The thing about G Eazy that I love is that he raps real good and also takes inspiration from books and life. He’s definitely a really good lyricist. After Eminem, he’s the it white rapper.

The beat throughout the song is really catchy and just sticks to your head, I’d know because I’ve been listening to it for the past hour, nonstop. The vibe from the song is kind of a money hungry girl, that wants to be with him, but he doesn’t want to— and him wanting to “be as big as Pac.” The Chorus by Anthony Russo is very thoughtful and fits perfectly with the song and G’s flow. I love it! ❤️ By the way, I LOVE G & Halsey together. 😍

Another track is, Lauv ft Julia Micheals There’s no way. I love Julia’s voice and her songwriting skills are beautiful. Each one of her lyrics are very thought out and just to the point. I love how Lauv collaborated with her on this track, their voices fit really well and the beat matches pretty good. I love the message behind the song because it’s something that so many people can relate to. The music video is so sweet and I can’t stop watching it! Julia looks absolutely stunning, love her. ❤️

Thankyou so much for reading!!💙

My reaction: Lost In Japan Shawn Mendes (Zedd Remix)

My Reaction..Zedd Remix

I’ve been listening to snippets of the Zedd Remix all over social media. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, you name it. Originally, I was very exited about the song that they were going to do, which I thought would be an original song and not a remix. However, when I found out it was a Lost In Japan remix I completely flipped out. I absolutely love the original version of the song. It has soft beats and a fun rhythm to it, Shawn’s voice is amazing as always. If you haven’t listened to either, I strongly recommend listening to it, man I was bopping my head so much I thought I had a neck injury. It’s sweet and overall just has a very lovey-dovey vibe to it.

BUT, the Zedd remix is a COMPLETELY different story. The beats are extremely over powering and he auto tunes Shawn’s voice as if, God forbid he destroyed his vocal chords. Ahem, ahem, Post Malone. It also adds the signature beat that Zedd has in all his songs. I mean, I’ve got nothing against listening to Techo or EDM but.. it does not sit well with Shawn’s voice. It adds too much to the actual beat of the song, and well, it’s doing the utmost.

So, I never thought I’d say this but, I absoutely hated the Remix. The song is beautiful on it’s own, so listen to that over this trash. I’m so sorry Shawn, but babe this was rough. Were you drunk when you approved this?

No offence to any of the extremely defensive fans out there, chill. I’m just being honest. You’ll see what I’m talking about..

But, please go listen to the original version, you won’t be disappointed! ❤
